Candy has to access two main folders during startup. Firstly, the user’s MY DOCUMENTS (or similar), secondly the users data area.
The following will force candy to start at the data manager – this will help to determine if Candy is able to access the MY DOCUMENts folder without attempting to access the data area.
1. Make sure Candy is not running
2. Copy shortcut
3. Name it TEST CANDY
4. Right click properties shortcut
5. Edit target
6. Add a space after the .exe or .exe” and then type $ SETBOOTDATA
