Introduction

Users who are not using Microsoft Outlook can experience errors when backing up to email. This is because the default Email client is incorrectly set.

Setting the default email client

1.       Open Control Panel

2.       Click Default Programs.

 

3.       Select Outlook, Click Set this program as default.

4.       Click OK

If Backup to email still does not work

Some email clients do not make use of Microsoft’s MAPI service. In this case use of “Backup to file”. Save the backup to the desktop and attach it to an email using the normal method.
