Running QTO from Candy requires that QTO is installed on the same machine.
Candy requires registry settings that are setup during the QTO install process.
If either is not done then the following message will appear:
In a remote desktop environment the message will appear as:
On a standalone machine install Candy QTO. Go to the following URL:
If QTO is already installed and Candy still fails to launch it then simply run the QTO shortcut once.
In a remote desktop environment QTO might have been installed, but no direct access to QTO will have been given.
The expected registry keys need to be manually entered into the user’s profile OR need to be deployed by group policy.
To manually enter the registry keys use the REGEDIT tool and search for (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Construction Computer Software\System Options)
Add these two keys (String Values):
“Quantity Take-off Path” = “C:\Program Files (x86)\CCS\CandyQTO2\CandyQTO.exe”
“Quantity Take-off Path” = “220.127.116.11”
Using a Group Policy it is possible to create, update, replace or delete a registry setting for a user, group of users or computer.
